Cancellation Insuranceunderlinereimburses you for a pre-paid trip abroad if an incident occurs that prevents you from going on the trip.

More about Cancellation Insurance

Before claiming on the Cancellation Insurance, you must first contact the vendor. If you are not reimbursed for all incurred costs by the vendor, you make a claim on the Cancellation Insurance.

The damage notification must include:

  • Confirmation from a doctor
  • Airline booking confirmation along with information on refund rights
  • Booking confirmation from travel agent and/or accommodation provider along with information on refund rights.

The insurance covers

  • Cancellation due to serious accidents or sudden illness causing you or your family to be unable to travel.
  • Cancellation due to serious accidents or sudden illness of others who are not insured but are related to you and your family as follows: spouse, children, grandchildren, parents, grandparents, parents-in-law, children-in-law or siblings.
  • Cancellation due to substantial property damage to your home or private company that makes your presence necessary.
  • Cancellation due to public quarantine.
  • Cancellation due to work that you or your family need to perform according to laws on mandatory quarantine.
  • Cancellation if you or your family cannot travel due to government restrictions due to an epidemic.

The insurance does not cover

  • Cancellation due to disease, treatment or illness that existed before the insurance was purchased or when travel expenses were paid.
  • Cancellation due to diseases that occur in the 9th month of pregnancy.
  • Cancellation due to an accident that occurred before the insurance was purchased or when travel expenses were paid.
  • Cancellation due to accidents that are excluded from Leisure Time Accident Insurance, such as skydiving, competition sports, etc.
  • Cancellation if you neglect notifying the vendor that it was necessary to cancel the trip.
