Hospitalization Insurance
If you have to be hospitalizeddue to an illness or accident and stay there for 5 consecutive days or more, you may be entitled to benefits under our Hospitalization Insurance if you or those covered by the insurance are aged 16-60 years.
More about Hospitalization Insurance
- The insurance pays benefits in the form of a daily allowance for each day from the day of arrival if you stay in hospital for 5 consecutive days or more.
- The maximum benefit period is 180 days for the same illness.
- If benefits have been paid and you return to hospital within twelve months of the end of your previous hospital stay, due to the same illness or accident, you are entitled to benefits from the day of arrival if the 180 benefit days are not fully utilized.
- A doctor's certificate of when the disease was first diagnosed or when and how the accident occurred must be provided before benefits are paid.
Hospitalization Insurance is included in our F Plus 4 package.
The insurance covers
- Benefits in the form of daily allowance if you have to stay more than 5 consecutive days in hospital due to an illness or accident.
The insurance does not cover
- Benefits for existing illnesses or accidents that occurred before the insurance took effect.
- Benefits for hospitalization that begins within 90 days of the insurance taking effect, unless the hospitalisation is due to an accident.
- Benefits for abortion, infertility, sterilization, fertility treatment or contraception.
- Benefits for birth defects and congenital diseases.
- Benefits for accidents that are excluded from the F Plus Leisure Time Accident Insurance.
- Benefits for an accident you suffer as a result of your involvement in a criminal act.
