Vátryggingafélag Íslands hf. becomes VÍS tryggingar hf.
On January 1, 2025, Vátryggingafélag Íslands hf. will adopt a new name, VÍS tryggingar hf., along with a new ID number: 670112-0470.
This change will not impact individuals or companies doing business with VÍS.
The reason for this change stems from Vátryggingafélag Íslands hf.’s acquisition of all shares in Fossar Investment Bank in 2023. This led to the creation of a group built on robust foundations in insurance, investment banking, fund and asset management, and other specialized financial services. The group was named Skagi, with VÍS tryggingar hf. as a subsidiary of Skagi.
