Motorcycle insurance

Mandatory insurancefor all motorcycle owners. In order to increase safety and for the good of everyone, motorcycle owners are required to have liability insurance and accident insurance for the owner and driver.

For owners of off-road motorcycles, the driver's and owner's accident insurance is optional.

We offer two options when you insure your motorcycle. Changes are not retroactive.

  • Option A: Base rate. No refund is given for the time the license plates are deposited with the Transport Authority.

  • Option B: Double rate. We refund for the time the license plates are deposited with the Transport Authority.

You can get a discount on the premium if you sign a declaration stating that only you or your spouse will be driving the motorcycle. The discount is age-dependant and increases with the age of the person taking out the insurance.

If you would like more protection, we suggest you read about the comprehensive motorcycle insurance and protective equipment insurance below. • Damage caused by the use of the motorcycle to the property and possessions of the motorcycle's owner or driver.

  • Personal injury sustained by you or the driver if the accident may be attributed to gross negligence or intent on the part of the driver of the motorcycle.
