VÍS provides compensation towards the cost of purchasing necessities if the insured needs to change their circumstances due to domestic violence.
We offer a special claims process for this insurance. We treat all information provided during the claims process as strictly confidential and ensure that it does not appear anywhere else in documentation from VÍS. We aim to process applications for emergency assistance due to domestic violence as quickly as possible.
Domestic violence is violence experienced by an individual at the hands of someone close to them, related to them or connected to them, such as a spouse or partner, child, parent, sibling or guardian.
The insurance covers

The insurance covers the cost of purchasing necessities if the insured needs to change their circumstances due to domestic violence.

The maximum compensation is ISK 200,000 per month.

Compensation is paid for a maximum of three months during each insurance period.
