Liability Insurance for Travel Wholesalers and Travel Retailers
Liability insurance for travel wholesalers and travel retailers provides coverage for those who organize and sell package tours, for damages that may occur to their customers. The insurance is an add-on to the insured’s business liability insurance and only covers incidents that fall outside the scope of that insurance.
The insurance covers
- Damages occurring during a package tour that begins within the insurance period.
- Damages occurring during a package tour, for up to one year from the start of the trip.
The insurance does not cover
- Damages assumed by the insured if the liability exceeds compensation for personal injury or property damage caused by a deficient package tour.
- Fines and other penalties.
- Damage to passengers’ luggage while in the care of a carrier.
- Damages that are partly covered by public authorities.
