Care due to a hospital stay

If your child has to be hospitalizedunderline due to an illness or accident and stays in the hospital for 5 consecutive days or more, you may be entitled to benefits.

The benefits are in the form of a daily allowance paid for each day from the day of arrival if the child stays in the hospital for 5 consecutive days or more. The maximum benefit period is 365 days for the same illness or accident. If benefits have been paid and the child returns to hospital within twelve months of the end of the previous hospital stay, due to the same illness or accident, you are entitled to benefits from the day of arrival if the 365 benefit days are not fully utilized.

A doctor's certificate of when the disease was first diagnosed or when and how the accident occurred must be provided before benefits are paid.

The insurance pays

  • A daily allowance for a child's continuous hospital stay for 5 days or more. A daily allowance is paid for each day from the date of admission.
