It is not pleasant to land at an airport abroad and not receive your bag.Baggage Delay Insurance guarantees a certain fixed amount to buy necessities while you wait for the bag to be delivered. The insurance applies only if the baggage is delayed at an airport abroad.
The insurance covers
- Costs for the purchase of necessities for persons 16 years and older, if checked baggage is not delivered within 12 hours.
- Costs for the purchase of necessities for persons 16 years and younger if they are travelling without a guardian.
The insurance does not cover
- Cost due to delayed baggage that is discovered after returning to Iceland.
- Cost due to delays that are discovered within the same 24 hours of the trip ending in Iceland.
